ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 9 -- United States Patent no. 7,920,849, issued on April 5.
"Method and System for Providing Advertisements/messages Based on Wireless Data Communication Technology" was invented by Adrian Pop (Brooksville, Fla.).
According to the abstract released by the U.
S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An Internet Platform administering an Integrated Network System of Localized (customized) marketing and advertising BLUETOOTH(R) Broadcasting Points, accessed by cell phone/BLUETOOTH device users in BLUETOOTH Wireless Access Points (BLUETOOTH Hot Spots). The marketing and advertising relies on BLUETOOTH transmissions based on predetermined criteria and can be accomplished in an unlimited number of media formats."
The patent was filed on July 13, 2007, under Application No. 11/777,304.
